Attendance at Practice and Game
This past weekend we forfeited both games on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we had 5 Players present at game time, the next day 7 players were on time to play. On Sunday, with the additon of one parent, we played a very good scrimage game against St. Cecilia which means we could have had our first win- I believe we finished 2 or 3 runs ahead with 8 players against 14. In the end we made the best of it and had a solid practice and much needed laughs.
In order to be fair to the players and parents that are making practices and games, the following attendance rules now apply:
1- If a player misses 2 practices, the player will sit out the following game. Exceptions are in place for players that live in the east bay.
2-If a player misses 2 games, the player will sit out the following game.
3-If a player causes a forefit (confirmed he would attend the game and not show up), the player will sit out the following game.
Because several players missed both games this weekend, and because this created an undue negative impact on the team, these rules are retroactive to this past weekend.
The following players will sit out the following game this Sunday 4/25 in Pacifica:
1-Alonzo *
2-Eddy *
3-Edward *
4-Elio *
* If you are a suspended player, and wish to play on the following game following your suspension, then you (not your parent) must inform me of your intent to play, 48 hours before the game so that I can re-instate and make you eligible to play.
If you wish to disscus your suspension and wish to play the following game, contact me so that we can explore an option. The player, not parent must contact me.
If you don't return to play for the remaining 3 games, I still want to thank you (and your Parents) for your participation in the team this year.
I know this might cause future forfeits, but the objective is to know hours before a game if we have enough players to compete, or not. One team this weekend had all 12 players hour before the game. I can accept loosing a game by trying but I will not accept a defeat by having no shows.
Also, I will no longer call parents or players before games to find out who is playing so please contact me if you have any questions prior to game time.
